About us..
As an artist, I enjoy making art, and having it all around me. One of my favorite things to do is to decorate my journals, Bible studies, and agendas. But I’ve had a hard time finding items that were to my taste or that honor the Lord boldly. Too many times, I would see a ‘Christian’ brand that would put messages of “being happy” rather than being Holy. Not to say I’m the only one the Lord is using, but I hoped to fill that lack I noticed. But all in all, I want everything I make to honor the Lord.
This project is very near to my heart, for years I’ve floundered around with my art, trying different mediums and subjects, but always feeling unsatisfied. I have also made Christian art in the past, but based on what I thought others’ expectations were of how it should look. I’m going to be real, before starting this project, I had only drawn maybe 5 things in the last 2 years. Because I don’t enjoy meaningless art, I couldn’t force inspiration from other sources when it’s something I didn’t care about. Until around last Christmas (2025), when I decided to make a painting as a gift to one of my team members in the Worship Ministry at church. Really, the idea was partially out of desperation— no money and only one week to find a gift— and partially because I wanted her to receive something heartfelt. I decided to paint a landscape with a simple motif, lots and lots of sheep. The Lord had been speaking to me a lot through the imagery of being His sheep and Him being our Shepherd; and He still is—that truth is very powerful. I hoped that she would see even a glimpse of what I felt the Lord sharing with me through that painting. The result was better than I expected, and the glory can only be given to God. Not only did she love the painting, but I also felt really inspired to draw again. Suffice to say, I’ve been drawing lots and lots and lots of sheep, but I truly feel like that’s my posture in this season. Psalm 23 is probably what might immediately come to mind, but I think it's well-repeated because that Truth is so great!
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalm 23
The name Bezalel (Betzalel or Bezaleel) means:“In the shadow of God” or "under the protection of God."
This was equally true of the Israelites in the wilderness and of us now, His church, His people, His bride. I am constantly reminded that God is our refuge and strength.
None of what I make is a replacement for scripture, nor will it ever be as important as picking up your Word and spending time daily with The Source of life. But if anything that I make can bring Him glory, can invite someone who’s never read the Bible to ask a question about it, can remind someone of something the Lord did, and remind them to give Him glory, then I will be satisfied. Even if nothing ever happens with this and I just have the Lord, I will be satisfied.
I hope people like my art, even more so, I hope that they come to know the beautiful, wonderful, Holy Jesus. If you’ve read up to here, thank you. I hope the Lord could use my words to encourage you and that you would be blessed. I hope also that you like my site, hehe.
